🔥 Heat Advisory 🔥

Florida heat ramping up for the Summer and so are we! Working out onsite is quite the workout and we want our volunteers to please be prepared. Please familiarize yourself with the signs of heat stroke in addition to our staff’s reminders throughout the day. Please be aware and prepare to bring plenty of water, electrolytes, and proper clothing/sun protection as well as rain gear. Eat a good meal the night before and don’t skip breakfast!!

For suggestions on how to beat the heat for yourself or team members, please contact our Volunteer Services Team

💧PLEASE BRING LOTS OF WATER!!💧

For health and safety, volunteers are required to bring their OWN waters. Team Captains, we highly recommend bringing a case of water for the team as a back up and some electrolyte powder!

LUNCH/SNACKS: We will stop for lunch around 11:30 am and take water/snack breaks throughout the day. Habitat does not provide lunches or snacks. Please make sure to coordinate lunch with your group. There are often restaurants nearby that can deliver food for your team right to the site!

ITEMS TO BRING: Most volunteer days involve working outside. Please make sure to bring any items (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.) you might need to protect yourself from the sun. Habitat will provide all tools and personal protective equipment (hard hat, gloves, etc.)
